History

Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resources was established as a 501c3 Non-profit organization in 1995 by local churches with a vision of offering financial assistance throughout Kalkaska County to individuals and families who are in need.

Since KAIRs beginning thousands of dollars have been distributed annually through the generosity of local partners, churches and grants.

KAIR is also supported through Resale Store sales, the annual Festival of Trees Fundraiser, and various other fundraising events held throughout the year.

The number of individuals and families served by KAIR has increased every year since KAIR has opened its doors.  KAIR is able to continue providing services to families in need due to the support of people in the community who band together to host food drives and give of themselves volunteering to help others in need.
